I prefer Chicago over most cities, but the time that I have spent in LA made me prefer most cities over LA as well.

Based on input from a poster that I think is well taken, from now on, all questions about geographical preferences should be posted in off topic. Such questions have nothing to do about politics. This Board is all over the "map" as it is, so narrowing down its focus to well, politics, certainly is a step in the right direction. I am going to put this statement in my sticky thread above. Thanks.

And so, this thread is being moved to Off Topic.

Chicago, though I'd probably get killed by a Cubs fan within a month.

Conflicted. My biggest issue with any city in transportation. Chicago wins hands down because it's one of the few American cities with decent public transport and LA is probably the worst city to live in without a car. On literally every other issue though, LA wins.

Close call, because I imagine I'd love to live in either city, but I'd have to go with Chicago on this one.
