Attlee both times - he was a better human being than the Presidents and had more far-reaching reform.

Eisenhower, again, beats the psycho Eden and the failed peacetime leader and probable war criminal Churchill.

JFK trumps Macmillan, who meant well but led a fairly lacklustre and corrupt government (aside from on housing and decolonisation).

Wilson beats Johnson, for obvious reasons.

LOL at Nixon vs Heath. One of the dislikable sets of match-ups. Amazingly, I'm giving this to Nixon (!) even if I do loathe the man.

Callaghan was less shambolic than Carter (lol), Reagan was far superior to Thatcher and Major beats Bush Sr.

Blairs first term was relatively godly and far better than anything Bill Clinton ever did; and even after 2001 imnumerately better than Dubya. Brown (who you missed) was also far better amidst the economic crisis than the useless bush.

Obama is a million times better than Cameron.

What was different about the 1997-2001 Blair? Blair was the same throughout his premiership.

What was different about the 1997-2001 Blair? Blair was the same throughout his premiership.

That was before Blair revealed that the whole New Labour thing was actually what he thought-foundation hospitals, tuition fees and 42 day detention. Blair basically realized after 2001 he didn't have much time left for his vision.

Funny looking at these results how the historical links can be made. I know people always say there just popular history at it's worse but JFK/Macmillan, Callaghan/Carter, Bush/Clinton and Reagan/Thatcher have some very close historical links

FDR is better than Churchill in every way.

Atlee was certainly more productive than Truman on domestic policy.

Eisenhower wasn't perfect, but is better than both Churchill and Eden.

Macmillan was one of the better Tories, but JFK was still better.

Wilson was obviously better than LBJ, the Vietnam War being the key reason.

Nixon was the worse human being, but his policies are more tolerable than that of Heath.

Callaghan and Carter are remarkably similar, but I'm going to give a slight edge to Carter.

Reagan and Thatcher are both despicable. Reagan is marginally better, but as an American, I'm more tangibly affected by Reagan's negative legacy, so tempted to say Thatcher because of that.

Major is marginally better than Bush.

As much as I despise Blair, he is better than both Clinton and Bush.

Obama is so much better than Cameron.
