Thank you Ms. Speaker.

The Reforming Atlasia Public Healthcare Act gives regions the opportunity to expand healthcare choices for its people. This bill would allow private insurance providers into the Northeast again, while keeping the benefits of good old Fritzcare.

What law denies the right of private insurance providers to come into the Northeast?

According to the Reforming Atlasia Public Health Act of 2014, the regions should determine which private insurance options are allowed in its regional exchanges. Only the public option (a.k.a. Fritzcare) is allowed by default.

Personally, I don't have issues with private competition if it makes FritzCare better.

I was unsure as to whether I was still on the Assembly (I'm now tidying up the wiki before entering the new laws), but I probably would have abstained. I'm not a fan of private insurance plans, but I guess if a person has a lot of money and wants to purchase one, even though they're going to get hit with costs, out-of-pocket expenses, and so forth, I suppose that's their call. Unless you're rich, I have no idea why you would even want one.
