Section 3: Enforcement1. All speed cameras, radars, and other devices used by law enforcement to track or record the speed of vehicles shall be discontinued from use no later than January 1, 2016. All such devices shall be sold to government agencies interested in purchasing them (at the Regional or Federal level) or, if a buyer cannot be found, shall be stripped for parts and sold.
2. There shall be no fines levied for speeding, nor any citations written for drivers engaged in speeding. All pending speeding tickets issued in the Most Serene Republic of the Midwest are hereby voided, and all law enforcement officials ordered to immediately stop citing and fining motorists for speeding upon the passage of this Act.
3. All persons having a speeding ticket on their driving records shall have said records expunged of said offense by the Most Serene Republic of Atlasia no later than January 1, 2016.
4. All persons, having paid a speeding ticket since January 1, 2015, shall have the amount paid refunded in full, with a check mailed with the amount refunded to his or her residence no later than January 1, 2016.
5. All persons, having had their driver's license revoked for speeding, shall have their driver's license restored by no later than January 1, 2016, provided that there are not additional reasons for the revocation of the license in question.
Section 4: ImplementationUnless otherwise stated herein, this Act shall take effect immediately. All posted speed limits signs in the Most Serene Republic of the Midwest shall no longer be in effect upon the passage of this Act, and shall be removed by no later than January 1, 2016.[/quote]
