I'm starting to think that in the Senate they have some sort of planned released schedule on who supports the deal. It seems like every day one Democratic Senator jumps on board.

If Durbin strikes a deal to support Murray as whip if she supports him as leader, wouldn't Schumer's no vote become a great wedge to use against him?

Murray should be the leader, Schumer does not represent the party and Durbin is boring.

Rep. Elizabeth Esty (D-CT) is a yes.

Pelosi invited the ambassadors from each of the six world powers that negotiated the Iranian deal — the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China — to meet next month with House Democrats on their second day back in Washington following the long summer recess.

Interesting. I think Durbin already arranged something similar for the Senate Democrats Caucus? Gillibrand mentioned something about it, and apparently, Schumer skipped the meeting entirely.

Why are House Dems lagging so far behind the Senate ones in committing to a vote?

Less attention on them, so less odds they will be asked about it. They may be committed, but no one asked them and didn't bothered to say it.

Probably less pressure on them to decide quickly, too.

Could Colling actually deserve her reputation as a sensible moderate for once by voting Yes?

Sen. Cotton is upset Reid is considering a Iran Deal Filibuster

The fact that he's whining about it makes me think it might be possible.

I expect Collins to be against, but those three in the house are interesting cases. At this point, they're probably trying to weigh their more libertarian beliefs (which would lean to support attempt at diplomacy, even if its flawed) with the backlash from the establishment and Israel lobby if they come out for it. And that means strong primary challenges for all of them as well.

Reps. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) are both yes. Totals are at 74.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) is a no. Totals are at 14, need 29 more to override.

Here's the current status of all House Democrats with regards to the deal according to the Hill's whip list: Dark green=yes, light green=lean yes, yellow=undecided/unclear, light red=lean no, dark red=no

All three of them, especially Amash and Massie are the heirs to the Ron Paul throne in the house. It makes sense that they would be the only real holdouts here although I doubt all of them end up siding with the president here.

East Coast liberalism is very different from West Coast liberalism, and when many representatives have sizable Jewish constituents, there will be some reluctance to side with Obama here.

Reps. José Serrano (D-NY) and Scott Peters (D-CA) are both yes.

Serrano is significant as he is the 2nd NYC yes vote.

I think all of them are actually leaning against it. Amash retweeted an AP report about Iran being able to inspect its own sites.
