I don't blame Huckabee for this. I used to think Likud's whole "There's no difference between ISIS and Iran and Hamas! Muh monolithic Islam!" schpiel was just a ruse to get AIPAC and the Christian Right all riled up. But given Netanyahu's behavior, I think he really does believe his own BS.

Israel needs a Nixonian figure to come to power who is smart enough to realize that the various parties that hate Israel also hate each other and could be played against each other to Israel's benefit. They did a pretty decent job of this in Lebanon in the late 20th century, but eventually lost their influence there.

There absolutely should be demands for him to apologize, and honestly, his campaign thus far has been such a joke and so obviously there to sell books, I'm not sure I think Huckabee is serious enough to be included in debates. At least Santorum actually wants to be President.

Seconded. It's amazing how if anybody said this kind of sh(inks) on any halfway-decent political forum, they'd be banned for trolling, yet this is the popular opinion of the GOP base.

There absolutely should be demands for him to apologize, and honestly, his campaign thus far has been such a joke and so obviously there to sell books, I'm not sure I think Huckabee is serious enough to be included in debates. At least Santorum actually wants to be President.

I'm not one to make a big deal about "offensive" statements.  Folks can take them as they wish.  But Huckabee's statements are, IMO, far more offensive than Trump's.  And they have to be coupled with his apologia for Jim Bob Duggar and his son, Josh.  As those facts have come forth, the idea that you would sent a son who molested his young sisters to work with a friend in the construction business and call it therapy is beyond ludicrous, and that Huckabee (the Governor of AR at the time) would sign off on that and consider it a wise course of action is a statement about him, and about his attitude toward victims.

I must confess that I initially had a degree of symptathy for Huckabee on that one, in that I can understand the terrible vice Jim Bob must have felt he was in that the time, but Josh Duggar needed honest-to-goodness THERAPY and he didn't get that.  A "work program" with a friend of Dad isn't a solution to that problem Josh and his sisters have, but it's a solution to Jim Bob and Josh avoiding having to admit a problem, let alone doing something meaningful about it.
