Donald Trump has turned this into the troll campaign. Now the only way for someone in the middle of the pack or behind is to say outrageous things like this. And it is working, today both Obama and Clinton responded to Huckabee, denouncing his comments of course. And that will only raise Huck's profile among his target voters. He also got Bush to denounce him, which probably also helps.

We will likely see more and more of this. If your goal is to get a response out of Obama, imagine the creative things these guys can say?

The irony is that Iran and Israel have a common enemy -- ISIS.

ISIL is not a serious enemy of Israel. If anything they are actively fighting Israel's real geo-political enemies.

ISIS has nothing but enemies. If you thought bin Laden was the one true devil. Well, he was almost an angel compared to ISIS. ISIS is like bin Laden and Hitler combined. Both bin Laden and Hitler had tons of friends, believe it or not. To ISIS, all of humanity is their combined enemity. As far as I know, Israel is part of humanity. Thus, Israel is no less an enemy of ISIS than anyone else.

You know what I mean. In the grand scheme ISIL is not a serious threat to Israel in the sense that long-term ISIL can't remake the region to one in which they are the dominant power. Iran however stands to do just that after ISIL is defeated by Iraq and the Assad regime.

In the long-term the Iranian "Shia Crescent" is the main enemy to Israeli power in the region. Not a militia army that will permanently remain in total political isolation, have no serious economy or production capacity for military equipment at any point, and has no long-range missile capacity, no air-force, or ground forces capable of putting up a serious fight against the Israeli army.

99% of Iranians are extremely peaceful creatures. That's more than you can say about ISIS. I can't even fathom that you dear to compare the two of them. It should be pretty clear to everyone by now which one is the more dangerous.

Santorum's competing for the same constituency as Huckabee, and is at a bit of a disadvantage, being a Catholic.  Despite the common cause they have with Catholics on many social issues, many Evangelicals are terrified of Rome.

And, in truth, the differences over issues of Eternal Significance that brought about the Protestant Reformation have never been resolved.  Neither side has admitted the other was right, nor was a compromise position achieved as to how one attains Eternal Life.
