I'd consider Murphy a slight favorite to win the open seat if he won his party's nomination.

Well,
Considering it will likely be bush and that Jolly is a good candidate, I expect FL republicans to have a narrow advantage.

I would love Senator DeSantis.

That being said, I think Jolly v. Murphy would be fairly close, and largely reflective of the Presidential race in Florida. Any other Republican, I think Murphy would run ahead of Clinton by a decent margin.

And obviously any race with Grayson means a Republican Senator, even Miller or DeSantis.

I met Todd Wilcox last Wednesday; seems like a total lightweight. "I am an ex Navy seal and a businessman, therefore, ignore my policy positions and vote for me!" was his platform, basically. He offered literally nothing on why he should be a Senator besides his interesting bio.

At first I didn't believe the primary polls because they were from questionable firms like Gravis, but SERIOUSLY?  Grayson should be getting crushed a la Sittenfield in this primary.

It's not like Murphy has done anything to get name recognition outside his district. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his and Graham's vote was more anti-Greyson than pro-them.

His floor is probably around 44%. It's a Southern state, a presidential election year and he is very popular among progressives. If it's Jolly vs Grayson, I think Jolly wins 52-47 (barring a major scandal/blunder on the Grayson side which might be likely to happen).

Obama won the state. So can Hilary. As Bill Nelson expects her to.

If the RPOF really wanted to be strategic, they'd cede this race and let Grayson become the public face of the FDP.
I wouldn't cede it, but at least quietly find ways to help Grayson win the Democratic primary. That way it is a win-win no matter who wins the General Election.

What's the link between the Florida Senate race and Hillary Clinton?

If Florida Democrats are actually dumb enough to nominate Grayson, they deserve to lose badly.
