Cop charged for lying in drug raid that severely injured a toddler

Remember this? Yeah, the cops that weren't even charged with anything a year ago for doing this while at the wrong house with wrong information? Well, at least now one woman will be charged for lying to get a search warrant.

At least someone got charged. Still, this is so underwhelming for the crimes the state committed in this incident. Its so deep in injustice to begin with that this is a mere dent in what should be a hole of punishment.

This seems like an unambiguous case where heads should have rolled. The media barely covered it at all though.

They would rather cover stories like Michael Brown where there is actually significant reasonable doubt. I guess it's a ratings thing. They can play the two sides against each other.

Something as horrible as this case should get ratings too though. They either don't run these stories because 1) they don't want to ferment a revolution or 2) they're just too depressing. Probably some combination of both.
