Re: Why are the Kochs backing Walker?

The Koch brothers own Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Seriously, ElectionsGuy—you cannot "understand" this?!

Again, this is a dumb meme. They don't own him anymore than they own any other Republican.

He is more blatantly servile to the Koch syndicate.

Are the Koch brothers backing Walker? It seems to me that this association between the two was caused by that fake phone call but actually, that fake phone call proves he isn't in their pocket. If he was really their bitch, he would have been able to recognize it wasn't their voice.

You are naïve!

I'd ask why the Kochs even bother to use a middleman, but obviously they have better things to do than waste their time being President. (Maybe we'll get lucky and an earthquake will turn the lot of them into paste.)

On Rand Paul -- he is not enough of a militarist to promise to use the US Armed Forces to enforce the will of the Koch Brothers if leadership in some other country balks at doing Koch bidding.

While the Koch brothers may have been pondering endorsing Walker, they in fact didn't, and in fact at the moment are clearly not. They either had second thoughts, and/or want to keep their options open, and watch and wait.

If Walker was truly owned by the Koch Brothers, why has he not tried criminal justice reform? They oppose the Patriot Act. He does not. The list goes on

Not to mention his stupid immigration flip.

As an employee of the Koch brothers, I can tell you that they will not be endorsing any candidate what so ever.  That'd compromise their organization. Nor will they fund the nominee. AFP is a separate entity from the Republican Party that just so happens to have the same goals (ie, stopping Hillary).

Seriously, why? The Kochs are libertarians who would line up with the Pauls best.

Except that Rand snubbed the Kochs.

When has Rand ever snubbed the Kochs?

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/rand-paul-2016-downward-spiral-gop-campaign-120716.html

It's briefly mentioned in here. Paul just doesn't put in the time to woo the doners he needs, like the Kochs or Thiel, and they eventually end up going elsewhere.
