If you could choose one current foreign leader (Monarch, President, Prime Minister etc) to become the US President in 2016, who would you choose, and why?

Cameron, very competent, good temperament, and a good ideological fit for me.

Tabare Vazquez? Rafael Correa? Matteo Renzi? Evo Morales? Answer may change depending on elections in Portugal, Canada, Taiwan, Korea, Spain etc. in the near future.

Obviously the question is completely meaningless though as all politicians are products of their surroundings. All the politicians mentioned are impossible to imagine in a U.S. context in anything remotely like their current incantations.

Unfortunately, I don't think bringing the State's under the domain of the Crown will be particularly popular.

RIP abortion

Testament to the lousiness of most world leaders. Morales is very flawed, but fairly popular and seems to be capable (despite his annoying tendencies). Also him in control of the pentagon would be amusing.

I'll say it: Queen Elizabeth. Failing that, Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Unfortunately King Adulyadej would die and leave you with his idiot son pretty quick. If you're going to get a monarch, go with King Wangchuck of Bhutan

Oh no, we could just make Princess Sirindhorn our President. Tongue

See, King Bhumibol was born in Cambridge, so he'd actually be eligible!

Preciesly. It would be just like to expect Abe Lincoln to function as the British Prime Minister if he suddenly became one instead of President.

Simi's fetish for the "Disneyland with the Death Penalty" is troubling to say the least.

I just thought of something. We could even have a Thaksin. We already have one, in fact. We call him Donald Trump.

Putin, because despite his lack of respect for free speech he would restore our national sovereignty and end our interference in other's affairs.

Robert Mugabe, a bit old perhaps, but would speed up much needed redistribution of property to Black folks.
