You mean in the primaries or the general election?

A few of the Republican primary polls have included racial breakdowns.  This Florida poll included 12 black Republicans:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=216683.msg4674796#msg4674796

4 of them supported Bush and 3 supported Trump.  The other 5 were scattered among the remaining candidates.  Oddly, none of them supported Carson.

I meant the general. Who would win the highest percentage in a hypothetical match-up against Hillary Clinton?

Not that this is the least bit predictive, but out of curiosity, I looked up the share of the black vote PPP has each Republican candidate winning in hypothetical one-on-one matchups with Clinton:

Christie 8%
Bush 7%
Carson 7%
Fiorina 7%
Walker 7%
Paul 6%
Trump 6%
Cruz 5%
Huckabee 5%
Rubio 5%

Ben Carson or Rand Paul. Cmon, these are obvious questions.

Yeah, Carson might even get, say, 8% - or, under exceptional conditions (e.g., if Bill Clinton allows himself a racial slur in public), perhaps, 10%.

Trump. He's an aspirational figure for a lot of blacks.

Trump did have quite a diverse crowd at his announcement speech.  Too bad those were paid actors:

Trump probably because he leads. Carson probably led with them when he was close to first place.

I think Kasich and Bush's message will resonate best with African-Americans.

Rand Paul. Lets not assume black people will vote for Carson just because he's black. He has as much appeal to black voters as Rubio, Bush, or anybody else does.

Several black voters I've spoken with dislike Ben Carson and you can guess what term they're using to label him. Political tendencies aside, they find him and his wife to be unrelatable.

They also say they can tell when a white politician genuinely cares and is comfortable around them or not, and 99% of Republicans don't have this. Kasich strikes me as the least outrageous on social issues right now, so I chose him.

Kasich got almost the same percentage of blks as Dubya got in 2004, when he won reelection.

He is the only threat to Clinton as a presidential candidate, not as a VP.

Rubio or Kasich can beat Clinton, but wont be nominated.

Kasich or Carson.

Paul's meeting with Cliven Bundy would be exploited by Clinton in the GE.

I don't think any one will do better than the other. Whoever gets the nomination probably gets the same amount of the black vote that McCain and Romney got.

He did not meet with him

I'll retract my earlier statement however it's unclear if he did or didn't meet with him. Bundy says he did but Paul's camp says no.

Kasich would do the best overall, so he'd also do best with African Americans.  No Republican candidate would be particularly strong with African Americans.

Let me know if a Republican starts saying 'Black Lives Matter', and seriously try to address racial discrimination.  That's what it'll take to break the Democratic stranglehold on them.

Definitely Jeb Bush, as he's the most intellectual, rational, calm and moderate. All traits that black voters love. He's the closest GOP has to an Obama this time around (sorry Rubio, you might try again in 8 or 12 years). When I say Obama, I primarily think of intellectual capacity, as there's little doubt that none of the 17 GOP candidates have tons of charisma exactly.
