What about Tim Kaine? Speaks Spanish, was governor of a swing state (Virginia), former DNC chair

Whoever jumps in pretty much needs to be a person who everyone thinks can win but can suck up the progressive support from Sanders if he drops out. Literally Warren fits this mold perfectly but won't do it because she doesn't want it. But if a relatively young, charismatic woman with a progressive reputation jumped in, I don't see Hilary winning.

I think Kirsten Gillibrand fits that role perfectly.

Gillibrand is not particularly progressive. Although her views are basically generic Democrat (like Hillary's), she's also built a large part of her career around being a moderate. Not well positioned to take Hillary on front the left at all.

I was looking at the list of current Senators and two popped into fore as the best possible candidates in this situation. One is Gilibrand, but I'm not sure how she'd really be perceived. The other, and I actually think this would be a hell of a choice on various levels, would be Tammy Baldwin.

He's been sucking up to HRC to make up for endorsing Obama in 2008.

He doesn't want to risk his chances of being Clinton's running mate.

Sounding more and more like Biden is going to jump in.

A political adviser says the vice president is "90 percent in."

A relatively young, charismatic minority who is the leader of the Progressive Caucus, perhaps?

Sanders has a better chance of winning than a former Nation of Islam supporter.

I'm thinking Biden will run. I answered 50-60%

This poll occurred to me, because Bill Kristol thinks the odds are at least 50-50 that a major name parachutes into the Dem POTUS primary race, as in Warren, Kerry or Biden. What do you think?

In 2016

Clinton      68
Warren      67
Kerry         72
Biden         73

Are the "major Dem names" all residents of a senior's center or what?
