I'm a strict libertarian constitutional conservative moderate Republican.

Honestly I don't know what I would ask them. I know which talking points they would give in response.

Maybe I would ask them to explain why they think pot should be illegal and alcohol shouldn't. It's a minor issue but one where I can't see any logical case being made for the conservative side.

I would probably ask a foreign policy question, but would first have to do some more research on some of the candidates to see what they've already revealed.  For example, have all of them commented on whether they favor (at least in principle) a 2-state solution for Israel/Palestine?  And what about the Jacksonian/Wilsonian split among GOP hawks (which I talk about here)?  Do we know where all of them are on that?

"Governor Walker, what is your relationship with mafia boss RNC chairman Reince Priebus?"

"Governor Kasich, what was your role in Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy?"

"Senator Cruz, what is your most moderate position?"

"Mr. Trump, would you call yourself a conservative?"

"Governor Bush, many conservative voters have expressed doubt about your candidacy. Why should conservative voters vote for you over someone like Senator Cruz or Governor Walker?"

"Doctor Carson, what is something the Republican party gets wrong?"

"Governor Christie, you've stated that you would crack down on marijuana legalization in Colorado and other states like it, where the people have democratically legalized cannabis. Is this not a violation of the 10th amendment?"

"Governor Huckabee, what is government's role in society?"

"Mr. Trump, what is your opinion on gay marriage?"

"Governor Kasich, you first took office in congress in 1983. What is a policy of yours that has changed in this time?"

"Governor Bush, would you call yourself the front-runner in this election?"

"Senator Rubio, what was your biggest mistake and how have you learned from it?"

"Senator Paul, what will you do in the first 100 days of your presidency?"

"Mr. Trump, why do you want to be president?"
