Which Democrat is most likely to get the presidential nomination in '24?

PLEASE explain your reasoning!

Based on the premise of this thread, that a Governor/Senator born in 1970 or later is most likely to be nominated in 2024. These 4 are all the Democrats who fit that.

I voted Murphy. He seems to be a more liberal, progressive Senator. And he's also close to New York City, and all of its fundraising and media potential.

Why Heinrich?

Murphy, because I think he has the highest chance of being Hillary's VP, which is the only tiebreaker I can think of.

Thoughts on the four.

Raimondo's a governor of a very small state. Her age and gender is advantageous, especially since the other Democratic female Governors have problems (Hassan doesn't seem that ambitious, Kate Brown was appointed after Kitzhaber resigned in disgrace.)  The proximity to New Hampshire is advantageous, but I don't see governorship of the state being a major launching pad.

Chris Murphy is on the radar of a lot of Democrats (the Clinton campaign was worried about him as a potential challenger) and has gotten some write-ups on policy leadership. He's young and has a progressive record.

Martin Heinrich is relatively obscure. On paper, he seems like a solid running mate for HRC as a young western Senator. But he's made no impact.

I went with Brian Schatz. He's young, and a progressive favorite. His interracial marriage helps a bit, as does his expertise on environmental issues.

Oh, we're talking about 2024. In that case, no idea.

Murphy would be a great pick for Clinton, he's more progressive then Hillary and can help her win over Bernie Supporters once his joke campaign falls apart

True, but Murphy is a great guy irl. His voice has the supple undertones of honey and Bavarian glaze.

Heinrich, he's a skilled politician but will lose to the incumbent Republican president.

Most likely Castro if he is Veep. Is kind of hard seeing party nominating two women back to back.

So, why are so many people voting Heinrich?

Because he looks like the president in an NBC or CBS political drama

I'd put these two, Castro, Gillibrand, Cory Booker, and Klobuchar ahead of Schatz.

I keep hearing from Californians that Newsom has tons of skeletons in his closet. Any truth to that?

I'd put Kamala Harris on the list.
