Most of the presidents of young democracies had already been in the prison, because they were opponents of the previous dictatorships.

Since the USA is an old democracy and had no dictatorship, this situation didn't happen.

George W. Bush had already been arrested because he was driving drunk. Is there any other US president who spent some time in the prison?

I have read that as a child, Andrew Jackson was captured by the British and put into a cell. Other tan that George W. Bush seems to be the only one arrested by police.

Washington was briefly the prisoner of the French following his surrender at Fort Necessity, but hardly the almost two years that Jackson was a POW. John Q. Adams was briefly detained by Norwegians during the Gunboat War between Britain and Denmark when he was on his way to St. Petersburg to be the US minister to Russia. Hoover was trapped for about a month in Tianjin during the Boxer Rebellion. However, those detentions were all a byproduct of war rather than conventional crime as was the case for Dubya.

To clarify, Dubya was apprehended on a DUI, however, to be perfectly clear, he did not spend any time in jail.

Both Franklin Pierce and Ulysses S. Grant were actually arrested by the Washington police for drinking-related stuff, but neither, if I remember correctly, spent any time behind the bars.
