What's the most you've ever spent on shoes?

I have definitely spent over three figures for shoes, but the qualities that make that worthwhile are strict. I'd only do it if I absolutely loved them, knew I would get good use out of them, couldn't foresee getting them any cheaper, and I was desperate. By desperate I'm referring to rarity - if I'm having a really difficult time finding a certain style of shoe that I know I will love and wear, I will pay good money when I cross paths with it because I know the chance might not come again. High price is normally a deal breaker, but rarity can trump that.

That said, for men's shoes I'd never spent more than $75. Granted that I was a bit of a slob because I didn't care, but there you go.
