For me I wish that Elizabeth Warren or Brian Schweitzer had gotten into the race. Also wish that Bill Halter (who I worked for) had defeated Pryor in his primary bid back in 2010 as he would have made an excellent runningmate to either of them.

Not that he would be a dream "candidate' (because he wouldn't), but moving on to a dream POTUS, for me, probably Senator Portman comes closest. If there really were someone out there who would be a dream "candidate," such person would in fact probably be running. Smiley

Well, Hillary is pretty close to my top choice, anyways. But the people I'd give anything to see run and never will are probably Bill Gates, Colin Powell, Jim McDermott, and Gary Locke.

And then there is Richard Lamm. He was before the time of most of you, so you don't remember him, but I do, and he greatly appealed to the misanthropic side of my nature. My brother adored him, because my brother thought the planet was a few billion overpopulated. Perhaps it's time to bring him out of mothballs.

Brian Sandoval or Bill Haslam. The two most effective Republican governors in the country. Sandoval in particular has been amazing at fixing his state's toxic culture while working with both sides.

Probably Susana Martinez or Steve Bullock. Susan Collins, Bill Haslam, Jon Tester, and Brian Sandoval would be great as well. If Isakson didn't have health problems, he'd be near the top as well.

Would love a third Obama term now that he seems to have found his proper voice as president. I wish he had been like this back when there was a dem supermajority.

I'd say that Bernie Sanders is very close to my dream candidate. I wouldn't have minded Jerry Brown entering the race though.

I would have loved to see a Brian Schweitzer/Deval Patrick ticket.
