Who are the Carson voters!?

FWIW, there were also Draft Carson spots on syndicated talk radio for months straight last year so maybe those people?

The ones I know tend to be tame older suburban voters. Also deeply religious but not the firebrand kind of conservative.

My family of moderate/liberal Democrats in Rhode Island thought he did best too, because he sounded "smart" and was "funny".

I've noticed a lot of Carson bumper stickers around Colorado Springs, so maybe he's attracting the evangelical conservative voters.

Quite a bit of Conservatives with graduate school degrees, in my experience.

The one Carson supporter I know is a middle-aged white woman who is sort of a soft-Tea Partier, or perhaps ex-Tea partier, and is generally very anti-establishment, but not enough so to support Donald Trump. I wouldn't be surprised if she switches her support over to Fiorina if she starts polling better.

But most people I've talked to about the election have no clue who he is.

The other day, I was taking some boxes to the UPS Store to mail. I was getting them out of my trunk and trying to balance them all in my arms. As I was doing this, a Honda minivan with a Ben Carson sticker pulled into a parking space nearby and a guy in his 50s wearing dad jeans got out and was like, "Hey buddy, let me help ya with those!" and slow-jogged over to me and took several of the boxes and carried them in with me.

Ben Carson has the "nice people who drive minivans" bloc firmly in his corner.

Oddly enough, the type of vehicles I usually see with Carson stickers are minivans as well.
