If he didn't run in 04' despite being an obvious frontrunner with a compelling argument and in 08' despite still having a decent shot, why on earth would Gore choose to run in 2016?

LOL. The Democratic side is such a clown car:

Corrupt, Elitist old hag
Avowed Socialist
Gaffe Machine VP
Former Politician who no one remembers  (Gore)
Confederate Enthusiast
Random, Mediocre governor whose handpicked successor didn't hold the seat
Unknown party switching freak

So very true, but we Republicans have some wackos too.

Why can't politicians be normal again?

I don't care about elitist as a tag... because it means nothing.

I don't think he's catching on that "hag" is a misogynistic pejorative; but would you expect any better from Wulfric?

This is nothing new.  Gore's supporters have been wanting him to run again for many years.  I believe he got very angry with them a couple years ago.

What is the point in calling her a hag? That has nothing to do with not caring for someone's politics, that's just cheap and pathetic.

Gore meets my two requirements for a candidate: He opposed the Iraq War and he supports single payer health care.

I would vote for him over Hillary without hesitation.

I'm unsure if I would vote for him over Sanders, because I do want to destigmatize the word "socialist", but it's definitely a possibility.

The fact that he should have been president makes the possibility even more likely.

Basically, if it's a close race between Hillary and Gore, I would vote for Gore. If Gore's got it in the bag, I would still vote for Sanders.

The only thing that would be more depressing than a Clinton v. Bush rematch would be a Bush v. Gore rematch.

Also depressing: Clinton's VP and First Lady fighting over the Democratic nomination 15 years after his presidency is finished.

If someone is going to challenge Clinton, they need to be new blood, not the old guard.
