McCaskill will not be facing any serious opposition. Democrats in this state love her.

Ugh, why? It looks way too nakedly ambitious after just three months, and he only won because of Trump's super coat tails (If Trump only won by 9, like Romeny, Blunt and half of the row ballot statewide Republicans would have lost). Hawley would lose to McCaskill, he's way too "bible thumping" for suburban KC/STL. Wagner needs t be the nominee.
Drafting Hawley would be a surefire way to ensure McCaskill has a great shot at reelection. He is way too green for the Senate.

Wagner is going to crash and burn hard in the primary. She's basically disappeared from the state, doesn't have anyone answering the phones at her office.

McCaskill is one of the few Senators that deserves universal admiration.

Wagner is going to crash and burn. She's a horrible politician with ties to GOP leadership and nothing to show for her time in the House.

There was literally zero appetite among Missouri Republicans (the actual voters) for an Ann Wagner Senate campaign. Congrats to Claire McCaskill though!

Peterson getting the nod would be hysterical, though not as funny as if McCaskill gets her desired opponent in Hartzler.

The GOP is really having a hard time finding candidates across a bunch of red state Dem seats.

We'll see if he actually runs. There were a lot of similar reports about Wagner and Hartzler before they bowed out.

Please. Trump can't afford to appear with career criminal and voting fraud felon Josh Hawley.

Hawley announces fundraising 1.5 Million in the first quarter, with 70% coming from donations of 200 dollars or less. Roughly 70% of Hawley's donations also came from in-state.

Source: US Today Article, couldn't copy the link.

70% of the donations, probably not 70% of funds. And a small share of his money is probably from the state of Missouri. Very weak numbers from the GOP's golden boy and this next quarter is only going to be worse now that he has grossed Our Dear Leader Greitens.

This senate campaign is a lot more low key than expected. Hawley has been such a lackadaisical campaigner that I almost never see anything from his or his campaign on the news or in print/online. Sure, there are ads blanketing the airwaves, but that doesn't really say much. McCaskill is obviously working her butt off to be reelected, and her voice is filling the vacuum left by Hawley's. Honestly, it is hard to see him pulling off a win if he continues to be so low energy.

Hawley's campaing has finally started running ads, where up to this point it had all been outside groups pouring in against McCaskill. McCaskill's campaign has been on the air, unchallenged, since April.

Wow great hit piece:

There’s no evidence that McCaskill played any part in directing federal funds to businesses affiliated with her husband.

The senator does not sit on committees that oversee the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the agencies that award affordable housing contracts and loans to developers and pay out the subsidies.

She has voted for some massive government spending bills that would have benefited affordable housing programs, but she also voted against others...

Shepard’s investment in affordable housing projects dates back to the 1970s, long predating his relationship with McCaskill, who he married in 2002.

Well the primary is Tuesday. I've sort of been wondering if Hawley might actually lose. I don't think there is actually that much enthusiasm for him among Republican primary voters, and I have seen a lot of signs touting other candidates.

No one actually cares who the farm bureau endorses. See: 2016.
