bump..

Let's hope Austin Peterson is the nominee so McCaskill can breeze to a third term that she is not supposed to win.

Not that she is necessarily DOA against Hawley or Wagner.
What do you mean? It doesn't matter who the GOP nominates. McCaskill is going to win reelection by a landslide and win the White House in 2020. The subsequent special election wouldn't be a problem, because the Democratic nominee for that would have McCaskill's blessing. The blessing of McCaskill is all a Democrat needs to win in Missouri, because McCaskill is beloved by all Missourians.

Claire McCaskill 2020!

Oh my...

If mccaskill wins reelection i cringe at the nationwide protests and violence from the GOP.

only your party acts like a room full of children when you lose Wink Tongue
Oh shut up. Those reports of riots, arson, and looting on right-wing fake news sites were either heavily exaggerated or out-right fabricated. I live in a large city and none of that happened.

A moderate. But she (along with Tester) is one of the more liberal of the red state Dems.

God, I can't wait until this race is finally called. The next 16 months are going to be so annoying, lol.
Regardless of who ends up winning, I think it will take a long time to call... unfortunately.

Kander. McCaskill will still win, though.

Attorney General for only 6 months, and nothing else on his resume? I fail to see how this is bad news for McCaskill. It's good news IMO.

This is the only race that I'm sweating over. But McCaskill has been in this situation before. Maybe she'll figure something out.

These fools caused Blanche to get, well, Blanched. They will be the death of the party if they aren't stopped.

Would McCaskill lose even if 2018 is a very bad year for the GOP? I always thought Missouri was a red state, but not extremely red downballot like Oklahoma and Wyoming.

Most likely she'd still lose. Missouri voted a staggering 22 points to the nation's right in last year's presidential race, a huge R trend from '12, when it was 14 points to the right, and especially '08, when it was seven points to the right.
The presidential doesn't mean anything for this race. Missouri still has competitive races for statewide offices so long as the Democrat is competent. McCaskill definitely isn't incompetent.

So much for her being DOA. Seriously imagine if 2018 hits Trump an the GOP hard enough they not only lose the house but the senate as well (an by win I'm talking a likely 50-50 with Mike as a tie breaker)
That seems to be more and more likely every day.
