I'd like to say Rand knocked him out, but I can't even say that if I put on my rarely-donned biased shill hat.

Anyway, I won't weep for Christie's exit. Probably my least favorite candidate when you combine policies and how much I like them as people.

Yes, let's take a look at the Iowa polls... I don't think Iowa voters agree with you Tongue

Ho ho! Even I wasn't expecting a drop out so soon.

But I like Christie (at least relative to the others); hate to see him go if this is true.

Regardless, if I were him, I would have ended my bid before it even started. As much as I think Christie is better than the others, he has no hope.

This not a report it is a guess by some obscure blog. If he gets relegated to lower tier debate and is also far behind in NH he is going to run out of money and he doesn't have as big of a super PAC to fall back on like Perry then its plausible. But I don't for a second think that this blog has more sources and insights to Christieworld than the NY Times, WaPo or local NJ media who have covered him for years

Unless Christie is out of cash, I highly doubt this is accurate.

A man of his ego is not going to bow out of this so long as he can afford to keep fighting.

Christie would probably rather drop than the embarrassment of being at the kiddie debate.

Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Lindsey Graham, and possibly Gilmore if he polls 1% in two more national polls. Yeah, that'd be pretty humiliating for Christie. Still, though, Lindsey Graham is the sitting Senior Senator of South Carolina and Bobby Jindal is a sitting two-term governor of Louisiana. There's apparently lots of people willing to put up with the humiliation of sitting at the kid table.

Not sure about that. It worked well for Fiorina.

This would be incredibly depressing. I doubt Fiorina's long-term potential, and I'm optimistic Christie can outshine Kasich to become the NH establishment co-frontrunner with Rubio. (Bush won't make it that far)

I wonder which candidate would benefit most from this. Christie is a supposed 'moderate', so that could help Bush or Rubio. But, he also has the blowhard loudmouth bully persona which could definitely help Trump.

LOL

Jeb Bush is a joke candidate who needs to drop out of the race immediately to avoid further embarrassment. He is clearly incapable of stepping up under the intense pressure of interrogations by his allies at Fox News. I can't wait to see what real journalists do. No sane person could possibly vote for this man. I have $200 against his nomination. I'd be shocked if a man who may barely be top 10 in Iowa can come back and even compete in NH against far superior and likable candidates with regional and/or logical policy ties.

Greta had an extended interview with Christie last night walking on the Boardwalk in Jersey (I liked Christie's lime green shirt), and I very much like him. He's real. But it just isn't happening for him. Sad in a way. He participation in the field for an extended period I think would be good for the party and nation, and help make whomever is nominated a better candidate. He has a lot to say, and has a thought through a lot of issues far more deeply than the sound bite crowd. I respect him.

Bridgegate and a bunch of questionable decisions ended him. It's just not happening for him.

LOL, people who were supporting Christie a couple of weeks ago didn't suddenly start caring about the 4th amendment.

After Bridgegate, his ora of invincibility was pierced. He wasnt considered to be a regular politican, but a regular guy. And just like Dybya, that in your face politics comes back in you.

And Christie & Jeb are pretty similar. Jeb is facing the problem of his bro Dubya

I'd be surprised as it would raise speculation that he knows either he or senior members of his staff are about to be charged with crimes involving the bridge affair and possibly other things, for all that I know.

That said, obviously if he did drop out and no charges came forth within the two weeks or so following that, those speculations would go away.
