As I post this, BRTD currently has 74,659 posts.  If Atlas had had an option to 'dislike' posts since the very beginning, how many do you estimate he would have?

I'd estimate somewhere in between 750k-1m, tbh.

at that ratio, then just under 26,000.

A more interesting question is how many Libertas would have.

Uh no, because one of the core purposes of AAD is to welcome in the truly worst posters we've ever had.  They even gave you your own sub-forum!  Obviously you're more popular on AAD than you are here.

LOL that forum is hardly mostly pro-BRTD. It's mostly Straha and Snowstalker bashing things I like.

That's not a very accurate method of figuring that out. I mean, I don't recall you posting as many stupid matchups on AAD as you do here.

Actually if Atlas had a dislike button and my opebo polls were picking up tons of them I probably would've stopped posting them long ago.

A more interesting question is in what era he would have gotten the largest share of his dislikes.  When did he begin his Christian phase?  How would he have fared before that as compared to now?

Summer of 2011. I'll forever remember it because it happened about the same time as one of the favorite shows of my life, which was the last one I've ever been to where a majority of those in attendance were older than me.

This does relate to the interesting question I've asked before: What would be the most liked and disliked posts in Atlas history?

opebo's infamous post to Bushie about not quitting Oklahoma Natural Gas is a likely candidate for most likes, or something from The Professor like his cartoon about J. J. I wish Tweed's "The Group" would be up there, but it's unlikely. Or something announcing Inks was demodded.

Most disliked: Something from Inks, or the announcement of the bannings of opebo or jmfcst maybe? Or maybe something from Bushie in the archives of Update.

AFAIK the most "liked" post on AAD is one from Paul Kemp in the Update forum (which I suppose would violate Atlas ToS to quote here) and the most disliked one is a quote from Einzige to CountryClassSF which was later deleted. Quoting that too would violate ToS but I'll just say it was actually far worse than anything he ever posted on Atlas and if anyone said anything like it here they would be instantly permabanned.

This is almost enough to prove to me the merits of having such a button.

What about your extreme Family Guy fandom?  I don't remember you talking about Family Guy that much 10 years ago, though maybe my memory is just cloudy.  The things I remember you talking about back then are suburbs, strip clubs, and Ralph Nader.

Also, this is a bit of a tangent, but I'm surprised that with a Rhode Islander in the presidential race (Lincoln Chafee), you haven't made some kind of Lincoln Chafee / Family Guy poll (like, "Would any character on Family Guy be supporting Lincoln Chafee for president?").  Or maybe you have on AAD, and I didn't see it.

I also suspect bobloblaw and others would be kept in check by this.

The banning of opebo could have been a contender for both most dislikes and most likes.

Also, poundingtherock would have been a contender for highest dislike/like ratio (including only posters with more than 500 posts).

I actually made a post about Sneakers O'Toole right after it happened.

Kind of easy to forget Chaffee is running for President.

As well as the more forgettable hack-trolls who only post in the month prior to a presidential election.

If this forum had had it since day1, then given the creaky software here, it probably would have been coded as a 16 bit unsigned integer and like an old-fashioned 5 digit mechanical car odometer it would have rolled over several times. and he'd currently have 243 dislikes (plus some unknown multiples of 65,536).

Over a million would require over 13 for every single post. The top ever on AAD was like 16. I doubt I'm getting 13 dislikes on all my maps and stuff in the past either.

AAD has a tiny fraction of the number of posters who have been here over the last twelve years.  13 dislikes for each post here would be a fair minimum.

Even ones that are maps or just general answers like "FF/HP" to such polls?
