TBH my favorite Spielburg film.  One of the best and defining films of the 90's.

Shame 2 and 3 weren't any good, haven't seen 4 yet though..

Massive FM. In 1993 it was awesome, and I'm definitely old enough to remember when it came out.

Also, it's a traditional, sensible sci-fi/drama story told with modern effects, and I wish stories (movies) were still told (made) this way.

Part II was mediocre and after that I didn't even watch.

JW has an atrociously, insultingly bad screenplay.

Compared to Lost World the Insulting and III the Mediocre, it was a g&dsend.
