As most know, the Conservative Party of Canada is a merger between the Progressive Conservatives, and the more staunchly right-wing Alliance Party (known as Reform back in the 1990s). Which of the two do you think the CPC has more in common with?

Reform, of course.

Certainly, the narrative in my mind has always been that the Conservative Party is Reform with some PC hangs.

The answer, of course, is the PCs before they cracked and crumbled under the strain of the constitutional crises of the early 1990s, although they certainly aren't exactly like them.

Reform although they are somewhat different than either original party. It's hard to imagine either Reform or the Tories winning the immigrant or the Jewish vote for example.

Reform for sure. Harper governs from the right.

Without a doubt, Reform.  Most Tory MPs and members lean toward Reform/Alliance views.
