Could Donald Trump get away with not kissing Grover Norquist's ring, and still win the nomination?

President Trump is probably the only hope of ever getting a tax increase ever.

Donald Trump is going to save America from the rich billionaires.

Only Nixon could go to China. But like, the opposite of that, I guess. You know what I mean.

Besides his hateful immigrant language, he's been pretty moderate economically. For healthcare for poor people, for funding women's health, for supporting the middle class and stiffing the rich.

They used to say the same about W and immigration reform. No need to be overly optimistic.

Norquist has been powerless ever since Obama got Republicans to end the Bush Tax Cuts on the rich making over $400k.

I think it was called the fiscal cliff. Or one of the debt ceiling showdowns. Or was it the government shutdown? Maybe it was the sequester? One of those.

It was part of a deal to address the fiscal cliff, which involved the sequester.

If not pledging to not run as an independent didn't hurt him, this won't either.

Bush hasn't taken the pledge either. I think the pledge is more important for congressional candidates. Presidential candidates don't need to fear Grover like some local state rep trying to win a GOP congressional primary.
