It is a very interesting proposals, given many regions has problems with filling all offices (and our overall activity crisis), although I would set the bar slightly higher, let's say 6 people (no more than 2 executive, 3 legislative and 1 judicial officers).

I am reluctant to set a hard limit, given the extent to which this changes. I would prefer to tie it to the number of voters in the last election, say. That does carry its own set of difficulties, however.

Not a bad initiative, but what about implementation?

I'm reluctant to legislate the regional governments like this at all.

     I am thinking this too.

There should be flexibility to allow more officeholders if more people join. When I was in the Mideast Assembly we managed 7 (5 legislators and governor/lt. gov). In these times 7 may be too many but it should be at the region's discretion as to whether to shrink the government. A federal limit would have to be repealed the moment a single region's circumstances change.

Yeah, I'm starting to dislike this too. You see, my own region, the Northeast, has already addressed this issue too, and maybe we should just let regions continue addressing it. Smiley

This is really something the regions should be left to decide according to their own needs.

I will not support this amendment.
The ConCon will likely reduce the number of regions and we can debate and maybe insert that clause in the text approved by the ConCon.

Well, we probably should wait for a ConCon, instead of making individual amendments.
