I'm just wondering now if the binge purchase I did of a bunch of band shirts (more than I ever have in one instance before) is kind of equivalent to some 40something housewife getting a tattoo...

Don't worry, there's still hope. There's always hope.

Whoa. That's almost a verbatim quote of a certain Hundredth lyric. Hundredth being one of the bands whose shirts I ordered.

Some talk of a quarter-life crisis, but in your case I would suggest that binge purchasing of band t-shirts no one has ever heard (and then feeling compelled to post about it) is probably just vestigial immaturity and attention-seeking.
