Maybe this does him in? He refuses to show up and gets pushed aside as a result.

I seriously doubt he goes through with it, though. I'd be ridiculous.

Asking CNN to donate to charity for his debate appearance is different than "demanding networks pay him", for what it's worth.

Disgustingly biased title. Trump is asking for the money to go to charity. Morden needs to be demodded if he's going to pull this smurf. No better than that bimbo Megyn Kelly at this point.

If they give into Trump, could perhaps the other candidates make similar requests tied to their polling numbers? The Republican Party's generosity could be causing the end of capitalism as we know!! And of course Trump would be the biggest and most generous donor of all! He should get a warm reception for the sacrifice of his time to market his campaign to the large public.

Who would even watch if Trump were not present?

It's been nearly 12 hours and this totally FALSE title has still not been changed. This website is a biased joke. How much corporate blood money is Jeb Bush paying you hacks?!

When he first said this a week ago I thought he was joking.  Now I think he may be looking for an excuse to get out of doing the CNN debate. Watching Trump's reaction after the Fox debate you can clearly see he didn't enjoy it. He really didn't do that well but he 'won' the post debate by dominating the news with his Fox/Kelly spat.  Can he pull that trick off again? As frontrunner he has more to lose so skipping may seem like a good idea.

But will bhe remain viable if he doesn't attend debates?

Even for charity, it's idiotic.... and what's stopping say, Hillary from demanding the same thing to avoid debates?
