Wouldn't surprise me if it was another angry loner bitter about his own life. These tragedies are occurring far too often.

Losing your job is not an excuse to pick up a gun and kill people. It is so sick how people think.

The man used to be a reporter here in Tallahassee, where he was fired. He seems to have been quite a loose cannon.

And yet he was still able to get a gun.

Do you think a stricter gun law would have stopped this?  Sorry, but I think that's completely emotion-based and naive.

Oh look, here comes BTARD! I knew it was only a matter of time before somebody used the deaths of two people to make a case for their anti gun crusade as custom in these kind of Atlas threads.

So the shooter thought these two were being racist against him? Any truth to that?

I do think it's a valid point to acknowledge that people who shouldn't have guns are getting them. If we have licensing and insurance, it would help keep guns out of the wrong hands. After all, people who drive cars have to obtain a license and insurance.

I heard on another site that the shooter was a BLM activist who thought these two were being racist against him. Any truth to that?
I haven't heard that all, and I don't think one shooter is representative of the BLM movement in the slightest.

No, but they were the ones who reported him to HR for (IIRC) sexual harassment. He wanted to get back at them, and he wanted it to be on live TV.

Banning guns would've stopped this. No question.

Of course there are types of stricter gun laws that would have stopped this.

Both this and the Charlston shooting were the acts of lone mentally deranged individuals, they were both near unanimously condemned by society and therefore in no way representative of society, except maybe in regard to its handling of mental illness and gun control.
