As much as I hate Indiana, I still could not choose a southern state over a Midwestern one.

The Hoosier State.

I don't know if I'd consider Kentucky really the south. Louisville is definitely a Midwestern city. The Cincinnati suburbs in the north are also obviously Midwestern even if they vote like the South. The Appalachian coal areas in the east are basically an extension of West Virginia and that's not really the South either. So basically only the central and western parts are the South, and even there I understand most of the population lives near the river which is thus basically the Midwest...

Louisville is not *definitely* midwestern. Their accents are more southern than midwestern
