The GOP runner-up behind Trump in the polls is doing his part to help fix the party's problem with the gender gap...

I'm sure women will be delighted to see that they are incidental to the discussion of abortion, as mere vessels of fetuses.

Clumsy phrasing, but he's not saying anything that many in his party don't strongly believe.

Fairly typical "pro-life" position.

Ummm, how exactly is what he said akin to him saying that women are mere vessels of fetuses? I think what is more shocking is your insinuation that he is wrong.

Bullsh**t thread

Women are literally killing the fetuses inside of themselves.

And those who want to prevent the killing are being accused of waging "war".

Those who kill, not war. Those who want to avoid killing, war.

Got it.

Who would've guessed that Ben Carson is anti-abortion.

There's a Japanese feminist called Tanaka Mitsu who spent a lot of the late 1960s and early 1970s fighting for access to birth control and abortion for Japanese women. One thing that's notable about her, however, is that unlike almost any Western feminists, she believes strongly that abortion is murder...and then asks what is it that makes society such that women are forced to become killers. The contemporary Japanese philosopher and sociologist Morioka Masahiro describes Tanaka's views on this as 'tracing backwards from evil'.

If more people in the United States thought like Tanaka, I would find both 'sides' of this debate a lot easier to take seriously.
