Conway will win. Curtis will cut into Bevin more than Conway. The Pubs made a mistake not selecting Comer.

With Comer being enveloped by a domestic violence scandal, they might have done worse with Comer.

First bit of coherent analysis from you in a while.

I'm starting to think Kynect will save Conway's bacon. It's very popular after all, and Bevin cut his teeth on rabid opposition to public healthcare - and apparently he would have the unilateral power to close the exchange and even (I don't know if this is true) reverse the Medicaid Expansion.

Kentucky has a law that passed back in the early days of Medicaid that says the state must accept whatever Medicaid the federal government allows. But I firmly believe Bevin will disobey this law.

Bevin stank at the debate last night.

In what universe? He did pretty well in the debate.

You can watch the full debate here.

He was extremely nervous and showed it. Conway is definitely more polished.

I know Bevin wasn't the pick of the establishment, but still puzzled as to why the RGA would stop running ads on Bevin's behalf so close to the election. This race seems like it will be close, could really go either way at this point. Plus, their are only two other gubernatorial races in 2015, both of which should be safe for Republicans. Anyone know why the RGA would stop running ads?

Wait did I miss something? A poll, maybe? Why this decision?

I was wondering the same thing! Last poll of the race I saw made it seem like the race was still competitive. Did Bevin have a big misstep that I missed?

His whole campaign is a misstep.

Just a few days ago, Bevin showed up at the Kentucky Democratic Party HQ and began ranting and raving that the world is so unfair to him. He is unhinged.

Conway's ads saying Kentucky Republicans call Bevin a pathological liar are the epitome of going for the jugular. Hopefully he'll run away with it soon.

This could just as easily mean that they think its locked up rather than they think its a lose.

Or they think they're underwater, but want to make the Conway campaign think that they've got it locked up. It's all a Jedi mind trick.

The optimistic side of me wants to say Conway (he will at least continue Governor Beshear's health care expansion); the realist side of me looks at the trend of states like Kentucky, Arkansas, and West Virginia, and says that the Republican will win. Even with a Libertarian to split the right-wing vote.........I saw how that worked out for Florida last year.

RGA Going Back on Air in Kentucky for Matt Bevin

How unexpected lol. They say the race is much closer than recent public polling may have indicated...

Bevin. I'm done getting burned by deceptively "close" Kentucky races. Conway (2010) and Grimes were supposed to keep it close even if they lost, and both ended up getting blown out of the water by double digits. I'm expecting a similar outcome this time.

Conway in 2010 and Grimes in 2014 were clearly declining in the polls in the final weeks. That hasn't started happening with this race.
