Yeah I think he is done atm. The only candidates with a chance at this point are Bush, Cruz, Rubio, Paul Trump, and Kasich

This just proves that Walker is desperate and knows his campaign isn't going anywhere, plus not being ready for prime time.

Why doesn't he lead the nation in his wonderful new plan, and start building now in Wisconsin?

Because Wisconsin doesn't border Canada? lol

I'm assuming he was referring to the general election, in which Paul is definitely electable (though recent polls show him doing worse now), he's just not electable in the primary.

You're being too generous to the poor Paul-tard. A couple insignificants, notably Christie and perhaps even Walker would be more electable than Cruz and possibly Bush (and honestly I don't think it's biased to say including Trump too based on his quick primary turnaround - but I'll ignore that for now)

Walker may have just become my last choice to become president.

I was thinking of this exact image.

We need to move in the opposite direction-- integration of customs and the removal of border controls between the US and Canada. What a ridiculous idea. Perhaps even more ridiculous than Trump. Walker will never get my vote.

Cruz is listed and isn't electable in the general election, though.

I agree with this, only I would go further. I support completely open borders between the US and Canada. I think the US and Canada should do something along the lines of the Schengen Agreement.

It is clear that Walker is the only candidate with enough guts to put a halt to the maple syrup trade that is plaguing our nation. No more will our children get sticky figures every morning before boarding the school bus, proving to a mild inconvenience. No more will real maple syrup prove a burden for major manufactures that use HFCS to compete with. Not under Scott Walker.

The US-Canada border is the longest land border on earth and largely is through unspoiled wilderness. Walker is so desperate, he might as well drop out within the month.

Walker continues to prove that he is actually a WORSE candidate than Tim Pawlenty.
The latter was boring as hell but I don't recall him saying so many preposterous things as lil' Scottie.

Yeah, this actually sounds like really good policy. Extending it to Mexico wouldn't work for various reasons, but a Schengen Agreement-esque deal for US and Canada would be fantastic. Enough people transit regularly across both countries anyway.

And Walker is just pandering, but pulling it off badly.

Walker pandering to teenage South Park viewers?

Seriously, what an incompetent clown.

Would the fence go along the border line here inside the Haskell Free Library and Opera House?

The guy is a joke but looking at the context, his answer does not appear to merit that much derision. He didn't say that "building a wall is a legitimate issue" but that border security is a legitimate issue in the north as well.

The WaPo says that for FY2013 (the most recent year for which they could get data) there were 822 Canadians illegally crossing the northern border, as opposed to over 400,000 Mexicans illegally crossing the southern border:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/08/31/scott-walkers-u-s-canada-border-wall-would-stop-literally-hundreds-of-illegal-immigrants/

So Walker might want to rethink the cost/benefit ratio of building a northern wall.

That may be the truly dumbest comment yet made in this campaign season rife with dumb comments. But Walker's dumbness is so extreme, that it becomes offensive. He, along with Trump, in my mind, are clearly unfit to be POTUS.

This sounds like something a Donald Trump parody on SNL would say.
