If Gary Johnson miraculously won the Republican Nomination for President in 2012, how would he have fared against Obama in the General Election?

Who would Johnson's running mate be?

What would the map look like?

Johnson's running mate might be Ron Paul...

Anyway, Obama/Obama

301 - 237

Barack Obama(D-IL)/Joe Biden(D-DE) - 49.9%
Gary Johnson(R-NM)/Lisa Murkowski(R-AK) - 48.8%

Other: 1.3:
Libertarian: 0.5%

As you can see, Johnson would do better than Romney, but lacks Romney's campaigning skill.

How would he win Minnesota? Minnesota doesn't strike me as a particularly libertarian state.

Jesse Ventura, Tim Penny, and Norm Coleman would differ.
