Jerry Falwell rejecting segregation as unfashionable should prove that racism wont get you far in 2005. Hopefully we will be able to say the same thing about fundamentalism one day.

Alabama is still Alabama and the people of Massachusetts realize with near a quarter of would-be-McGovern support pledging for Wallace that Nixon would be a better choice and he wins the state 49.1%-48.8%.
