maybe this could give Chafee a chance to position himself as the ultimate anti-war candidate.

If you think drone strikes that do not avoid civilians are ok, you are a war monger

Sanders seems to be implying that he'll make sure they avoid civilians, although I don't know enough about the subject to know how realistic that is.

Drone strikes and the pictures of dead children are the greatest recruiting tool that Al-Quada/ISIS has.

Ending the drone program would be a bit stupid, however we should really have a low that says that the drone programs cannot intentionally kill any citizen in the process of killing a terrorist.

Isn't Bernie relatively centre left on foreign policy issues?

Foreign policy should not fit the left-right spectrum Tony.

Sanders is no peacenik. He's just not a crazy warmonger like Hillary.

You need a new act, it was boring in 2007... It's tedious and hysterical now.

On topic ... good. It's effective if used properly.

I think completely ending the program would be an overreaction, anyway.

Yea, I totally agree.

I don't think ending the program is necessarily a smart move. Drones could be used for many things, not just air bombing.

IMO the problem isn't drones , they're a legitimate way of taking out targets-if we didn't use them we'd just use cruise missiles, air strikes or special forces strikes. The problem was that we were using them with extremely shaky intelligence

They need to be used responsibly, selectively and with the permission of the nation they are being flown over to hunt down known terrorists. I don't think that makes me a war monger.

Good to hear it.  The drone program has saved thousands of Americans from needlessly putting their lives in danger.  Hopefully it is expanded even more in the future.

If you look at their websites, Sanders doesn't even talk about peace, whereas Chafee has it as his first priority.
