Most people who voted Denmark are thinking of Joe Arpiao and Jan Brewer, and more importantly have never been to Arizona.

It's utterly breathtaking.

I've been there, and climate is another reason not to vote for Arizona.

Denmark, Arizona is definitely not one of the states that would tempt me to move to the US.

How similar is Danish to German?  Every Danish person I've met can speak English but I'd still like to know the language of the place I'd live.

Arizona is one of the most attractive US states and Denmark is easily one of the best countries in Europe. I'd be glad to live in both, but US freedoms, the climate, and the bigger Jewish community in Phoenix would eventually probably make me choose for Arizona - but I'll always have a soft spot for Denmark, the sanest country in all of Western Europe.

Depends very much on where in both places. Copenhagen and Tucson are appealing, Jutland and Bullhead City aren't

Arizona, of course. I have no desire to threaten the Danish cultural heritage.

There's not really a Reformed Protestant presence in Denmark that I'm aware of, nor is there much of a conservative Lutheran movement. I'll have to say Arizona by default, even though I despise the heat.

Danish is closer related to English than German (in fact the west and south Jutish dialects have the same grammar as English), of course a significant part of the Danish vocabulary have been adopted from low German. There's also a some similarities in pronouncement between Danish and German, the hard "d" have been adopted from German (original Danish had the traditional Scandinavian soft pronouncement and you still see it in several dialects).

Didn't Denmark vote out the hilarious and attractive lady who took a selfie with Obama and Cameron? That's pretty disgusting. Arizona has my vote.

I guess Danish wouldn't be too hard to learn.

In that case, I chose the one that is actually meant for human habitation (Denmark).

Danish is quite hard to learn for primarily English speakers, but that have little to do with the language, and more that most Danes shift automatic to English, if a English speaker look like he struggle through a Danish sentence (out of politeness). Of course that also have a lot to do with western foreigners mostly settling in areas where the population are general more educated and study or work in social circles where English skills is needed. You would not necessary find the same degree of English skill among other groups (through even the people who don't speak English almost always understand it just fine).
