Arizona seems more tolerant of diversity.

Arizona has more sunny days, and very little rain.  Arizona is a great place to live, a lot of people move here from other states to escape the harsh winters.

AZ is a total hellhole and wasteland full of snakes and other crap.

Denmark (sane).

Denmark (sane).
It's one thing to complain about the politics or the people of Arizona... but it is one of the most naturally beautiful states in the U.S.  It includes the Grand Canyon,

Monument Valley

And even includes some Alpine areas

I think I'd prefer living in Arizona. It doesn't have all that pesky humidity and it's warm (summer is a different story though).

While Arizona does have a lot of natural beauty, What's the point if it is too friggin hot to go outside and look at it?

Arizona. 10/10 I take heat over cold. It's also in my country, so if it does't vote the way I vote, well, I can deal with it.

I was in central and northern Arizona in 2007 and 2009 in early August and loved it. Trails, hiking, canyons, Lake Powell was all like visiting some exotic planet.

I went for a run on an early August morning with it warm and with relatively low humidity compared to the east and honestly felt halfway high when I was done. Loved it.

Arizona, which seems to get a lot of strangely unwarranted hate.

Lean Arizona. I think.

I'd prefer the weather in Denmark, but prefer the politics in Arizona. And even though most Danes speak English, I'd prefer to be in a place where I speak the area's most common first language. However, Arizona isn't an MLS city, and I'm familiar with lots of Danish Superliga players from playing Football Manager a reckless amount of time...hmmm...but I am familiar with some of the guys on Arizona's lower division team due to their connections with FC Dallas...

And that's basically my formula for location of living. Weather, politics, language, and soccer. I suppose "friends" and "stuff to do" count, as well, but neither has the former and both (presumably?) have the latter, so it's moot.

Actually, I freaking hate snakes. A lot.

Lean Denmark.

The fact that Arizona is one of America's fastest growing states is mind boggling. It is a desert hellhole filled with snakes, scorpions, and  Tea Party nuts like Jan Brewer and Joe Arpaio, not to mention the hellish hot weather. I would easily choose Denmark over Arizona.

True, true. So I might prefer the Danes in that, too.

Both places are in the category of "I wouldn't mind living there, but probably wouldn't choose to."

Response time. It bothers me when people say Arizona is a desert because that is a gross generalization. It's got arid areas, but it also has green valleys (Prescott) and alpine areas (Flagstaff).

The reason that it is one of America's fastest growing states is because of the new job opportunities and the existence of air conditioning helps. There aren't very many snakes, scorpions, and spiders because we chased them out of the metropolitan areas. Hell, there aren't even that many out in the wild.

While we have Tea Party types like Joe Arpaio and Jan Brewer, you can find a lot of liberals in Tucson and the smaller cities. It's not hard to find liberals in the Phoenix area (my hometown).

Considering Danish courts will go after you for defending yourself against rape with pepper spray, I'll go with Arizona.

Arizona is only unbearably hot in the summer.

As for the pepper spray thing, if you try to rape a girl, you deserve whatever happens to you as a result.
