And here's Washington, which shall it be this time?

The city with the excellent coffee and a lot of rain? Or the rest of the state with its Cascades, Spokane, Redmond and a decent coastline?

Does the Seattle worship hold through, even here? One week.

The rest of the state is easily better, though Seattle is the best large city in the country.

I had to give it to the Rest, since I like variety and I like rural and I've heard the coast isn't too different from the spectacular Northwestern side of California. I also had a friend who had an absolute blast in Walla Walla, so that also colors my perception a bit.

We're not voting for Seatac the city, but like, the entire Seattle-Tacoma shebang?  Because that.

I was too late to vote, but since I just had a lengthy two week visit to WA and Seattle I thought I'd add my perceptions to the thread.

Seattle was fine, but the traffic was nasty for a city its size. There was good food and entertainment, and Canlis on Lake Union was excellent for both food and ambiance. However, I've found great restaurants at other cities, too. I'd place it above average for its size, but not exceptional.

My trip included a circle through other areas of the state - Grand Coulee, Okanogan and the North Cascades (before the wildfires), Birch Bay and nearby Bellingham, San Juan Islands, Everett, Sequim and Olympic National Park, the Columbia Valley, Walla Walla, and Spokane. Bellingham, Walla Walla, and Spokane were all very pleasant mid-sized communities with a lot to enjoy for their size. The coast, mountains, and islands provide a combination of natural areas perhaps without equal in the US.

Seattle was good, but the rest of state was exceptional. I would have voted for the rest of the state.
