My dad actually told me about him. Tongue

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

They know about him, and like him okay for a Republican.

My parents voted against him twice but they think he's the best or second best Republican running.

Kind of this, although I think they would've known about him anyway. They wouldn't vote for him in the primaries, though. Too moderate.

My parents follow politics, but more in the way people follow news, not in the nerdy way I follow it.

My parents do, and both might vote for him.

My dad's a mainstream democrat but occasionally votes for moderate republicans. He doesn't trust Clinton and has left the door open to voting for certain republican candidates, Kasich and Christie among them.

My mom is a hearsay-based swing voter. She's currently buying into Trump mania but would definitely choose Kasich over Clinton if that's the GE matchup.

Yes, mostly because I make them watch the news.  If I didn't, then probably not.

FTR, I'm a huge fan and very well may vote for him in the Michigan primary.  Nobody in my house is fully decided, though.  The rest of them like Carson, (no doubt, in part, because he's Adventist), and my gma even likes Trump.

I just learned that Carson is one with the cornflakes.
