You could also just give your opinion instead of dumping links.

My opinion is that feminism is a Satanic, anti-Christian ideology that is contributing to the destruction of Western civilization. Those links elaborate as to how that is the case.

21 to 21 right now, wow...

I think it mostly depends on the individual feminist; internet feminists are usually HPs but actual activists generally have good points to make.

HM

Just wondering, is this also the movement with the "free bleeding" movement that I've seen on Facebook?

I can't say all third wavers believe in it, but it is definitely a thing in the third wave.

It's not even the weirdest thing I've heard from online feminists, particularly the Tumblr variety.

This.

Can people please stop trying to pass the buck by claiming "troll" whenever the excesses and absurdities of the Tumblrina movement are discussed. Because honestly, even if something like that did start as a troll, it actually makes the people who bought into it even more stupid then was originally thought.

The preponderance of that kind of individual, the sort of person who sees someone just say "No really, this is a legit thing, are you going to dare act against a stated progressive idea?" and immediately buckles without thinking skeptically at all, in modern feminism, is a large reason why I no longer call myself one.

On balance, Freedom Movement. If nothing else, some form of feminism (within reason, of course) is still* required in our world.

*Let me put it this way...I'd much rather live in a world where feminism is a thing than one where it isn't, for multiple reasons.

Feminism in general falls under the 'Horrible Movement' category because it doesn't actually seek anything other than the promotion of bourgeois women into positions and power and breaking the 'glass ceiling' in the halls of power of the bourgeois state and capitalist corporation. Contrary to claims by feminists that feminism is about the equality of the sexes, or women's liberation, or what have you, it has always served this base class role as a way for petty bourgeois and bourgeois women to advance their own interests while projecting a class collaborationist program that places sex at the center of the social struggle rather than class.

That said, I obviously am in favor of actual women's liberation and equality of the sexes, but these can only be achieved in the struggle for and ultimate achievement of a socialist society. So long as women are subjected to unpaid labor within the home, unequal pay at work, and the worst kind of slavery within the traditional family unit, they will not be free, no matter how many of them end up as the heads of capitalist government or CEOs. The working women of the world have far more in common with their lovers, brothers, and fathers than they do their 'sisters' at the top of the economic pyramid, and the realization of this, and only this, will propel the struggle to free women from domestic slavery and inequality forward and onward to victory. At every step of the way male chauvinism must be combated and exposed for what it is: a stumbling block to proletarian victory over the class enemy. Women should be encouraged to develop themselves as leaders in the struggle for the emancipation of the working class and should play a key role in running the future society that emerges from the overthrow of capitalist exploitation and oppression.

At that point, we will of course be able to socialize domestic labor by communal living arrangements, socialized laundromats and daycares, etc, etc. Straight-jacket monogamous families will wither away as they are replaced by voluntary associations unencumbered by economic coercion and want, and women will finally achieve full equality with men and their own liberation as a group, at which point the concepts of 'man' and 'woman' will themselves probably vanish, as there will be no reason to continue to define us by the roles that were assigned to us by the oppressive and exploitative old class societies.

Overall freedom movement. The emerging fourth wave, though, is monstrous.

Yep, the fourth wave is a definite HM.

Sounds like when Hillary broke the glass ceiling by joining the union busting Walmart board of directors.

What is fourth wave feminism exactly? Everything I can find on it seems fairly reasonable, which would explain why Atlas Republicans hate it so much.

"Fourth wave feminism" is something some Atlas posters have made up to describe some weirdos on Tumblr no one takes seriously aside from other weirdos on Tumblr.

Overall positive.  There are some extremists who go way overboard (since I have a tumblr I've actually seen posts by them).  There are also some who get bogged down in a bunch of movement jargon, which makes it hard for them to connect with a casual observer.

However, it's not fair to judge a movement based on its vocal extremists.  Rape is a massive problem, and the way our society pressures people to fit into gender roles hurts both genders.

Freedom Movement, of course.

As a man who is active in the women's movement, the vast majority of feminists I've met are pleasant and not anti-male.
