Looking forward to hearing more about this, but I support making incest as defined illegal/not recognized, and certainly the same for polygamy.

So, I was going through some old NE threads and found the incest debate, which was apparently a big thing, and I saw the reason that we legalized incest was because the prior laws against it were fairy draconian. Considering I think that incest is something that really shouldn't be happening, and because I lack the apparent libertarian spirit of past governments, I think it's best that we make it illegal. However, I don't think that people should recieve any particularly harsh punishment for this, and I think my bill should do a good job discouraging incest while not ruining people's lives if they're caught.

PGH, if you want to put an amendment, or introduce a bill, on polygamy, I'm open to it, depending on the language.

I agree completely.

I also think that the fines should be higher. Maybe $100-$150?

^^ Yeah, I'm okay with higher fines, and btw, I just saw Superman's proposed bill and in principle I support. Looks good. We're definitely on the right track there and here, IMO.

This should have included a repeal of the Same Love Act.

As a former member of this house, I would like to propose a postprandial (yes, postprandial-- I just had lunch) amendment and/or new bill, since the proofreading amendment seems to have done nothing:

Right now this bill is without effect since the operative words "berween" and "incestial" are not actually words and thus render the following clauses meaningless. Furthermore, the Same Love Act of 2014 made incestous marriage legal, which this bill does not address, meaning that even if "berween" and "incestial" meant what they were supposed to mean, you could legally marry a blood relative but could engage with sexual relations with that person. I urge this house to consider my revision.
