Be interesting to see if he beats the 43.3% that McMahon got in 2010.

Blumenthal will withstand any negative flap over Iran.

Blumenthal is  safe. Especially - against such opponent.

It will be interesting to see if Kudlow does better than his fellow lost traveler on economics Peter Schiff who lost the Republican nomination to Linda McMahon in one of her races for the U.S Senate.

If McMahon with all the millions she spent trying to buy a U.S Senate seat couldn't come close, why would anyone think that a moron like Kudlow, whose sole purpose in life is being a bleeding heart enabler of those who would seek to by U.S Senate seats would do any better?

I would add that McMahon was relatively moderate (not liberal, but still - moderate) on most social issues, while Kudlow doesn't seems to be even that..

The state of Connecticut hasn't elected a Republican to the U.S. Senate since Lowell Weicker Jr.'s final term won in 1982. Larry Kudlow is dismissed.

Lowell Weicker would obviously be considered a RINO today, but then, it's possible that he wouldn't be because he would now be a Democrat.  After all, Joe LIEberman defeated him by running to his right.

I watched Kudlow make this announcement on CNBC, since that's what we have on at the office. Kudlow is almost as big a blowhard as Santelli, only not nearly as smart (for all his histrionics, Santelli clearly knows his fixed-income and interest rates). He's a TV hack, but not a TV hack with any personality or decade-plus of media saturation/presence like Trump.

He would probably do worse than McMahon.

Kudlow also has a lengthy history of being wrong on practically everything when is comes to predictions of the economy.

Someone who jumps in for the sole reason of opposing attempted diplomacy sounds like human garbage.

I doubt that is the main reason he's really running but he knows his loony economic views would sell even less well in Connecticut.

The Dems love these Linda McMahon CEO's running. But; Shays would have been a tougher opponent for Chris Murphy. Blumenthal is safe; GOP lost its opportunity when Shays didnt run against Murphy; because of Linda McMahon.

I can't imagine he would, Kudlow, along with having economic policy that probably dooms him with the general electorate in Connecticut, has a ton of baggage from his days at Bear Stearns.

Strickland;  Kander; Murphy; McGinty;  Duckworth  & Feingold can win; while GOP pickup NV. Also; KY senate maybe in play as well. For a five seat net gain.

There are Democrats on this forum who rate the Missouri Senate race Safe D. And no, I was NOT being serious.

Kudlow is a joke, Blumenthal will thrash him, assuming he actually wins the Republican primary, which would be ludicrous.

Glad to hear that.  Sometimes it's hard to tell on this forum.  And yes, the Democrats in question are very much deluded.

Thank goodness people have some common sense on this forum. I want to know the people who think the GOP is only going to win Alaska. That deserves a serious explanation.

I very much want to see Blunt defeated. But it will be momumentum task to do it. Blunt is nowhere near where Blumenthal is. At least Dems have a chance at picking up the gov race. But; Dems are the underdog in the senate race. But MO as well as KY senate races can be put into play. And that isn being deluded.

Don't let facts get in the way of OC's nice story about Jay Nixon suddenly becoming a republican...
