The only vote I'm proud of is voting against the amendment to ban same-sex marriage in 2004.

Wow. I just looked up the definition of a "wet county". I never thought this degree of nanny statism would exist in the United States of America, of all places.

It's not too common, outside of a few southern states:

Only the red counties are dry. The yellow ones are "mixed" meaning you can still buy alcohol in the vast majority of the parts of them, all it takes is one little town going dry to make it yellow. Most states (the ones that are all blue) don't even allow counties to go dry.

Yeah, I read that on Wiki. Still a lot yellow, I didn't even know there were any towns/municipalities/counties prohibiting the selling of alcohol. My opinion of Arkansas hasn't gone up... It is weird. Why would people want this, in this day and age?

A point in regards to Utah and "wet states"; all Utah counties are theoretically wet counties, but it's incredibly hard to get alcohol, they only allow the sale of it through state liquor stories, and to restaurants and such that buy a limited amount of extraordinarily expensive liquor licenses.

So yes, Utah is "wet", but only barely so.

If I could have voted:

1. Bruce Rauner 2014 (mainly just to kick Pat Quinn the f out)

2. Jon Huntsman 2012 (I think he dropped out before the Illinois primary but I would have supported him)

3. Peter Roskam R-6 IL (Not my district, but if it was I would've voted for him. I've met him before and he's a real nice guy)

So far:

1. Rick Snyder in 2014
2. John Moolenaar in 2014 (both primary and general)
3. Mitt Romney in 2012 (both primary and general)

My county is yellow, which is interesting because my hometown is dominated by German Americans and has a big brewery.

That's totally strange. Have you tried to talk to the mods or anyone like that to address the situation?

The forum turned off PM's for people with only a few posts, to stop the irritating wave of atheist2006 socks registering and sending everybody graphic porn filled messages.

I was on the right side of history by voting AGAINST the referendum that banned gay marriage in Kentucky in 2004.

I can't think of many other votes I've made like this, because Kentucky doesn't have too many referendums.
