If the Democratic Party picks up seats in the Senate, while a Republican is elected president, what happened to the Democratic presidential nominee and how would it look like overall?

Wi; FL, OH & IL gets the Dems to 50. 51 without VP; Hassan beating Ayotte or pickup in Pa will get Dems that magic number

WI, NH, PA, and IL are more likely. Portman is a strong incumbent, and Florida is trending heavily R.

Strickland has been leading in every poll thus far. He is just as strong as Portman.

What poll has R's leading in FL? Last poll I saw showed Murphy ahead. Hassan hasnt said of she is running FL or OH will be the fourth  seat if she declines

Why is Florida trending heavily R?

Probably because of Alan Grayson. Patrick Murphy, or as Grayson calls him, Goldman Sachs would beat any Republican, but you couldn't convince Congressman Gasbag to take one for the team.
