Apologies for not putting this up earlier, but I'm delighted to announce my return to frontline politics. After speaking to both President Bore and Governor Pikachu I've decided to not only return to Atlasia but also return to public service. I'm delighted to be offered the post of Attorney General in the remaining months of this administration-we face big issues such as game reform, Northeast Independence and relations with the New South American Parliament. I'll be setting out my views on these issues over the next couple of days, and hopefully helping the fine Bore Administration go out with a figurative bang

A friendly remember: you need to be confirmed by the Senate.

Welcome back, Blair!

I guess Bore really likes picking S-UK avatars for Attorney General... Tongue

Okay, I'm delighted that the Senate confirmed me, and again thank you to President Bore for appointing me to the position. During my nomination my position got bumped around to Secretary of Home Affairs, which is actually a much beefer positon than Attorney General. Even though I've only got a month to work my magic there's several areas that I'm going to flag up, and hopefully work on. As always if anyone has any issues/problems feel free to PM me or post on here.

What's coming up?

Game-Play Review- Seems with the the climate of reform going on we should try and work out what people do and do not like about this election sim. It's not going to be too in-depth-I'm run a couple of surveys and type up some of my thoughts on how the actual mechanics of the game could be reformed. I know it's outside my remit-I feel it's overlooked a lot here though. Changing the number of regions from 5 to 3 won't change much if we don't at least look at how the game works. Basically I'll review Elections, Player patters, parties, time spend on here, what people actually do when they visit the board, activity levels. etc

GM Duties- As Kal informed me, I'm currently acting Domestic GM which should be fun. I'm aware it's a rather ironic twist of power, but I'll behave with it. I'll publish jobs numbers, general economic indicators and other domestic events to keep people on there toes.

Northeast Independence- A very lively, and well informed debate is happening about whether the Northeast should become independent. There's a Debate between Clyde and Pikachu, and several papers have been published. I'll be writing up, and publishing the response from the Federal Government who obviously respect the right to Democracy in the Northeast, but also want to fight for a Northeast that is united with the rest of Atlasia.

Policy, Policy, Policy-I'll be sending some stuff to the Senate in the next couple of weeks hopefully so that the Administration can stake out some key positions on a whole range of domestic issues from Climate Change to Defense matters

I'm just looking over the old numbers, and trying to factor in International effects. I'll have them published tonight

My department is monitoring the situation in the Pacific, and is talking to the relevant officials in the the Federal Government. We're in a unique legal situation here, and want to ensure that the correct decision is made
