While I am unaware of the circumstances surrounding the selection of this song to be the regional anthem, it's clear that it's a joke and should be replaced. This particular song has a history of being used to troll people, and is not something that should be the regional anthem.

I have to say that this bill is Un-Atlasian. And I believe that you as the NE assembly should follow their anthem in believing that you should never give Atlasia up, and never take Atlasia down.

It's weird that our anthem was by a British singer, so we should replace that...

4'33 is quite an inspired choice though.

Haven't heard it yet. I'll have to listen to it to decide whether it's a good choice or not.

Besides, what's wrong with Yankee Doodle?

It was probably part of the insane Libertarian nonsense when the Northeast Assembly was turned into a looney bin by depraved whackos.

Was that the same Northeast Assembly that legalized incest?

Not at all familiar with 4'33" or 4-33 or whatever, but I'm cool with whatever you guys want. Some '80s rock song would be my pick. I'm at the beach around a lot of people my own age, so of course an '80s rock song would be my pick. Tongue

i think it was from one of the assemblies you-know-who deleted, actually

i'll ask rep. superman whether the amendment is friendly or unfriendly, and then hopefully we can proceed to a final vote.

Alright, I just looked it up, and apparently nothing at all happens during that song. Not a fan of 4'33".

Nay

Let's get something else, something that's actually a song (and not a troll song).

Okay, after reading a bit more, I think we need something more mainstream.

No.

Well, if we're doing 80s songs, then I propose "The Touch" by Stan Bush.

If we're doing serious anthem-worthy songs, then I propose "Yankee Doodle".

I don't really care what song it is as long it's by someone from the Northeast.

I know I'm not a Northeastearner but a good song is I Fought the Law by The Bobby Fuller Four.

Someone from the Northeast? Something that captures the Northeast? Okay.

This is a formal proposal, and this is what I want:

y'all know you need to propose an actual amendment instead of just naming songs, right?

anyway here's another idea

not by a northeasterner but it's very much about the northeast and meaningful to the northeast.

yes/no?
