Guy is basically Richie Rich. I dislike him because he will end the pretty likely chance that Abbott would be obliterated by the electorate. I don't even say that about Abbott because he was very right-wing, o say that because the man is laughably incompetent. Like really appalling at very basic politicking: couldn't control a message while in power; couldn't control a team; tended to sit on his laurels; came off very stilted and awkward; couldn't craft a budget; managed to screw up a relatively good economic situation etc. that's all aside from my obvious disagreements of the man and his political views.

Why? He was clearly not performing to the standards of the job, and had told the party room to give him six months back in February to fix things up. They gave him seven, and he knew in advance of the challenge. It was much better executed and well-orchestrated than the removals of Rudd and Gillard. If anything, Abbott has been undignified in debate.

I'm generally opposed to Australia's video game censorship nonsense (which you're right in that it isn't even something particularly attributable to Abbott), but for such a horrible person like Abbott, who has atrocities like the abominable Australian detention centers on his record, to be ridiculed on the basis of "keep your hands off my porn" off all things is laughable.

As far as the OP, Turnbull is an HP, although relatively mild in comparison to his predecessor.

Well, that's certainly not one of the reasons I like him. I'm not for misplaced so-con laws against porn or video games. Don't know a lot about his role in this tbh, but it won't really change my opinion of him either, because it's not a big surprise for me.

The main reasons I consider Abbott an FF are because of his firm stance on immigration/the boats and him being a huge right-winger within the party in general.
